Municipal Code is changed by a majority vote of the Board of Aldermen, and each ordinance must be approved twice. The first reading allows the Aldermen to look at the ordinance and request changes be made. The second reading, if approved, makes the code law. All revised codes are codified once the second reading is completed. Code changes are posted and available at the Board of Aldermen Meetings, or copies can be requested at City Hall before the meetings.
