Due to circumstances beyond our control, Public Works was not able to complete brush pile pickup this week. If your brush has not been picked up, please leave it in the ditch. Public Works will continue picking up the remaining brush next week. Thank you for your patience!!
Get ready for wagging tails, creative costumes, and a whole lot of red, white, and blue! As part of this year’s Summerfest celebration on June 6th, we’re inviting pet lovers and their furry companions to join our Dog Costume Parade and Contest—kicking off at 11:00 AM.
This year’s theme is all about patriotism as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Whether your pup struts in stars and stripes, channels a founding father, or sports a clever tribute to American history, we want to see your most spirited and creative ideas come to life.
Participants can choose to enter their dog solo or take things up a notch by joining in with a matching pet-and-parent costume duo. From hilarious to heartwarming, all interpretations of the theme are welcome—the only limit is your imagination.
The parade will be followed by a friendly competition where the standout costumes will earn prizes and bragging rights. It’s a perfect chance to show off your pet’s personality, meet fellow animal lovers, and be part of a fun community tradition.
Registration is open now, so don’t miss your chance to be part of one of Summerfest’s most anticipated events. Bring your creativity, your patriotic spirit, and of course, your adorable companion.
We can’t wait to see you and your four-legged friends there! Scan the QR Code on the flyer, or click the link below to register!!

The brush pile drop-off will also be closed for the day.

The Kimberling City Police Department is proud to partner with the Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Indian Point, Hollister, and other Southwest Missouri Police Departments to bring the Blue Envelope Program to our community.
Blue Envelopes are now available at City Hall, the Police Department, and from on-duty officers.
The Blue Envelope Program empowers individuals to communicate their specific needs or challenges during a traffic stop. Drivers can present the envelope to an officer, helping provide a clear understanding of their situation so the officer can respond appropriately. Each envelope contains important documents such as a driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance, along with information explaining the individual’s condition and their intent to cooperate.
This program is especially beneficial for individuals who may:
• Be deaf or hard of hearing
• Have difficulty speaking clearly
• Be learning English
• Live with autism, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental conditions
• Experience anxiety, PTSD, or other mental health conditions
• Have dementia, cognitive, or neurological impairments
• Experience involuntary movements, such as those associated with Tourette syndrome
• Be blind or have low vision
• Have medical-related speech difficulties
The envelope also provides helpful reminders for drivers during a traffic stop:
• Stop in a safe location
• Remain in the vehicle unless instructed otherwise
• Keep hands visible on the steering wheel
• Inform the officer that you have a Blue Envelope and follow instructions
This program helps reduce stress, improve communication, and promote safer, more understanding interactions between our officers and the community. We encourage residents to take advantage of this valuable resource.

🚧 Public Works Project Announcement 🚧
As part of the citywide beautification program, The Public Works Department will be starting a ditch & culvert maintenance project starting April 21, 2026 that is expected to take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete.
During this time, our crews will be cleaning ditches and culverts throughout the city. This important work will help improve drainage and reduce the risk of stormwater issues ahead of the upcoming rainy season.
To ensure the project is completed efficiently, the city will be divided into zones. Each zone will be systematically cleared and cleaned before crews move on to the next area.
We ask all residents to please keep an eye out for our crews, who will be working along roadways and operating vehicles in various areas. Your patience and caution are greatly appreciated as we work to complete this project safely and efficiently.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
